Westside is responding to the earthquake disaster in Haiti immediately. Our research confirms that what is most needed is prayer and financial support for existing ministries already on the ground in Haiti.

Our friends and close partners, The Global Orphan Project, headquartered here in Kansas City are currently on the ground leading relief efforts, and caring for orphans. This outstanding ministry has partnered with Westside and includes Westsiders in their leadership. The director, Mike Fox is now on the ground in Haiti leading the efforts there. Please be praying for the victims, and for our partners in this relief effort.

New Year

It’s a New Year, and with it comes New Year’s Resolutions. With New Year’s Resolutions comes change and transformation.

We are starting our New Year with a New Campus Location at Pioneer Trail Middle School at 127th & Black Bob in Olathe, KS. This Sunday will be our 1st Service in the new location. For directions, click here.

New Series

This week will not only be the first service in our new facility, but we start a new series called “Christian???”

Have you noticed being a Christian doesn’t mean what it used to mean? Christian has taken a whole different meaning. Everyone now claims to be a Christian, but are they truly following Christ?

You won’t want to miss the start of this series as we unpack what it means to be a Christ Follower.

We will have a volunteer service at 11a. in our new location on Jan 3, 2010. If you serve at any capacity or are looking to serve at the Olathe Campus, we look forward to seeing you here as we share the vision and strategy for 2010 and we spend time worshiping together before our official launch on Jan. 10.

Please plan to attend our OP Family Forum on Tuseday, December 8th at 6:30pm at the OP office (9154 135th St, OP). We will be voting on our 2010 budget and on new PAT (Pastoral Advisory Team), Finance Team members as well as sharing the direction we’re heading in 2010. No childcare is available.

We’re starting a new series as we head into Christmas about the whole idea of the Season of Jesus’ birth: Giving yourself away. Here’s the lineup:

• Dec 20th: ‘What’s Happening in Your Wake?’
